William Monroe Middle School offers a wide range of academic and co-curricular programs to students. It serves more than 600 students in grades six through eight. The school provides various subjects, such as language art, English, science, science, social studies, and health and physical education. It also offers elective subjects, including fine and performing arts, and dance, arts, music and painting. The school organizes athletic programs that include track and field, soccer, baseball, softball, football, cheerleading and tennis. It organizes various other programs, such as speech and debate competitions, dance and musical programs. The school has a guidance club that offers counseling and support services to students. It additionally has a parent-teacher association that organizes summer camps, trips, picnics and various other extracurricular programs in the school. The school is located in Stanardsville, Va., and is affiliated with Greene County Public Schools.
