History
The Virginia Sports Hall of Fame was established in 1966, and inducted its first class of Hall of Famers in 1972. Ever since then it has remained committed to honoring athletic excellence in the Commonwealth, while providing unique educational opportunities to students throughout Virginia through its Education Foundation. The Hall of Fame has embarked on a bold path forward with its new Walk the Hall pedestrian tour through Town Center of Virginia Beach. Walk the Hall is free and open to the public and with exhibits placed in 6 locations throughout Town Center, visitors can learn what makes sports in Virginia so unique, while experiencing a premier mixed-use facility in the heart of Virginia Beach.
