Currently celebrating its sesquicentennial, St. Mary of Sorrows is a Catholic community of 3,000 families "dedicated to living the Gospel of Jesus Christ." Under the leadership of pastor Reverend James Barkett, parish programs include extensive spiritual, social and educational ministries, including a preschool program. Many outreach programs here strive to serve the needy, both locally and internationally. The parish center, Farrell Hall, is adjacent to the Worship Center.
Daily Mass is held Monday through Saturday at 9:15 am. Weekend Mass is held on Saturday at 5:00 pm and on Sundays at 7:30 am, 9:00 am, 11 am and 12:30 pm. Youth Mass is held at 5:00 pm on Sunday, September through May. A Healing Mass is held at 7 pm on the second Saturday of each month. Confessions are heard at the Worship Center on Saturday from 3:30-4:30 pm Monday at 10 am and Wednesday from 6:30-7 pm.
