Founded in 1965, St. Gregory the Great School is a parish school and is staffed by the sisters and servants of the Immaculate Heart of Mary in Immaculata, Pa. The school operates under the auspices of the Diocese of Richmond. It is affiliated with the Church of St. Gregory. St. Gregory the Great School serves more than 700 students in prekindergarten through eighth grade. Its basic curriculum consists of classes in religion, mathematics, language arts, reading, science and social studies. Additionally, the school conducts weekly classes in physical education, arts, computer applications, library and music. Spanish is offered once a week for students in grades kindergarten through five. St. Gregory the Great School also offers the accelerated reader program for students in grades one through eight. The school is located in Virginia Beach, Va.
