The Peacock Motor Inn was renovated in 2012 to offer guests a more enjoyable stay. We stopped here at about 2am. On our way up north. It was a great place for the money. The lady who helped us was very kind. It is an older location but very clean and homey.

Being the only place with an open room at 3am on a Friday in the summer i have to say that was nice. But the stains on the carpet, holes in thr wall and a bathroom that looks like is is straight...

We think this place is great. Friday night was the second time we have stayed there on our way down to the OBX. It's clean and convenient and they take dogs for a small fee.

Clean! Clean! Clean! From the bathroom shower to the room refrigerator! Plenty of parking space to park our boat, too. Price was reasonable! Right down the road from a grocery store.
