History
Jason Goodbrake began his hands-on studies of Structural Integration in 2004, in the midst of completing his undergraduate degree. After obtaining a B.A. in Music Performance at Huntingdon College in Montgomery, AL - he went on to pursue the study of S.I. with a passion, rapidly obtaining certification as a Massage Therapist and subsequently completing his studies of Structural Integration with Advanced Certification. After serving as an intern at the Institute for Structural Integration down in Miami, FL for most of 2008, Jason relocated to Virginia and opened his practice in McLean, VA. He has been here since, and shares his work every day with people looking for lasting, powerful change within the context of their bodies. Each year, he returns to Florida in furtherance of his knowledge and skill as a practitioner. Jason now helps to teach this work, and always continues to learn.
Specialties
Jason Goodbrake is a certified massage therapist and certified advanced practitioner of the Rolf Method of Structural Integration. Structural Integration is a dynamic, comprehensive and results-oriented system of hands-on therapy designed to deeply free, balance and realign the entire body. S.I works to improve posture, bony alignment, flexibility and ease/range of motion as well as to swiftly resolve chronic aches and pains. Think: A body that is longer, looser and lighter. Stand taller, breathe easier and experience a body increasingly free of stuck, dense discomfort. Under stress, trauma and duress the body gradually shrinks and tightens - loosing flexibility and resiliency. Structural Integration is the work which seeks to restore youthful elasticity and lively motion to bones out of place and muscles out of whack ;0)
