The Charlottesville Band, formerly known as The Municipal Band of Charlottesville, has been entertaining and inspiring Central Virginia since 1922. As one of the oldest continuously operating amateur community bands in the United States, they bring talented community members together through a love of music.
With over a century of service, the Band has traveled over 100,000 miles throughout the eastern United States, playing for seven U.S. Presidents and the Queen of England. Their free concerts, ranging from pop-up performances in public parks to elegant recitals at the Paramount Theater, showcase their dedication to sharing great music with the community.
