A&N Electric Cooperative is a nonprofit organization that provides service to thousands of electricity customers in Accomack, Northhampton, Virginia and Somerset counties in Maryland. It is owned and controlled by members of the service. Ownership and investment comes from the refundable membership for electric service and from any amount of the monthly bills that are in excess of the actual cost to the cooperative to deliver the electric service to the members. The membership elects a board of directors each year who establish policies. A&N Electric Cooperative is located in Tasley, Va.
