HistoryCharles M. Caravati, Jr., M.D., a Richmond native, founded Dermatology Associates of Virginia in 1969. The original office started on Hamilton Street in the near West End, but was soon moved to a house on Grove Avenue. Since then, Dermatology Associates has grown to twelve physicians practicing at four central Virginia locations. We have one office in Colonial Heights and four in the greater Richmond area. Our dermatologists are all board certified by the American Board of Dermatology. Additionally, all are members of our local, state and national dermatological and medical professional societies.
