Since opening its doors in Appomattox, Virginia, over 50 years ago, J.E. Jamerson & Sons has become one of Central Virginia's most successful general contractors. But instead of talking about our longevity and our success, we like to point to the feeling of family that still pervades everything we do. "JEJ, " as it's often called within the company, was founded by J.E. "Dutch" Jamerson in 1946. "Dutch" was joined in the business by his sons Bob and Bill. Bill, who eventually came to run the company himself, was then joined by his own son, Phillip. Today you'll find Phillip and Bill, who "retired" back in 1995 but is still deeply engaged in the company, personally involved in every project that JEJ does. It's no exaggeration to say that the family feeling extends to Jamerson employees as well. Of our 70 employees, over 75% have been with the company for more than 10 years. It's a remarkable figure, and we think it speaks to the commitment we make to our employees--and the commitment they make to our business and our clients.
