Founded in 1972, The Harbor School is a nonprofit, coeducational school that serves students in pre-school through grade two. The school offers classes for fine and performing arts, foreign languages, physical education, Spanish and reading. It also provides opportunities for parents and guardians to visit the school. The Harbor School offers sessions for art, dance and music. The school organizes summer camps that include several activities, such as arts and crafts, water play, cooking, drama, outdoor sports and games. It is accredited by the Maryland State Board of Education and the Association of Independent Schools of Maryland.
