Founded in 1969, Evangel Christian School is an educational facility that provides instruction to over 300 preschool, elementary and high school students. It focuses on spiritual, academic, social and physical instruction. The school conducts classes in Bible verses, English, math, science, history and physical education. It also provides programs in music, poetry, art, creative writing, spelling, reading and penmanship. The school s fine arts classes include handbell choir and choral music. Evangel Christian School offers various sports activities, including soccer, basketball, baseball, volleyball and cheerleading. The school is a member of the Old Dominion Association of Church Schools and the American Association of Christian Schools. Evangel Christian School is a ministry of Evangel Baptist Church, which was established in 1965. The school is located in Dale City, Va.
