Nestled along Prince William Street in Manassas, Eclections is a real diamond in the rough, especially this time of year!
I happily happened upon this little shop on my way to picking up my daughter at Jennie Dean Elementary School and was pleasantly surprised with all the unique goodies packed inside.
Started in 2010 by a group of five women, Ecclections offers handmade, one-of-a-kind items.
Owners Tama Falk and Diane Eagle are sister-in-laws and say the shop is reflective of all five of the owner's different styles and creativity.
"This is our creative release," said Falk who lives in nearby Haymarket. Falk said all five women, who have outside jobs, want to head in the creative direction for retirement and Eclections has provided them with that opportunity.
During the week when the store is not open, Eagle said the women spend time scouring flea markets and craft shows for vendors and speciality items for the store.
The shop is full of the work of local artists, from furniture to jewelry, scarfs, purses and much more.
Eclections also features Fair Trade vendors who guarantee fair wages and conditions for workers in Africa and other countries.
Follow Eclections on Facebook for promotions and other unique gift ideas. Right now they are offering 25 percent off all Christmas merchandise for all the last-minute shoppers.
