History
DJ's Drive In originally opened as an ice cream parlor in the 50's, however it quickly grew into the classic curb service restaurant we now know it as. Over the years the business has had a few different names and has been owned by several great families. Although the owners and names have changed over the last 60 some years the values have not. We are still working to give you the best quality food and experience that we can.
Specialties
If you stepped into a time machine and went back to 1950, what would you find? If you're like most of America, you'd probably envision classic cars cruising down the center of town, houses with pristine lawns and white fences, and leather jackets and poodle skirts. And you'd be right. It's also when DJ's Drive In, a local ice cream parlor turned diner, opened its doors to the Floyd, VA, community, quickly becoming a mainstay for families and youth to come together and savor the taste of simpler times. Today you can enjoy all your comfort food favorites, made fresh, along with the same upbeat, welcoming vibe that brought in our very first customers. Cruise down Main Street and stop by the little burgundy building for a delicious dose of nostalgia.
