We embarked on a two-year journey to discover the foundations of a memorable sandwich, traveling to the best sandwich and bakery destinations from San Francisco to Copenhagen on our ambitious quest. We realized that the answer was to start with the most fundamental part of any great sandwich - outstanding artisan bread. As part of the process for developing our own bread formulas, we apprenticed with a local artisan baker to learn how to create golden, crusty bread. We hope you enjoy our offerings and look forward to delivering delicious meals to you!
Specialties
At District Crust, we make and deliver delicious sandwiches, salads, soups, and sweets. We brine, roast, braise, grill and smoke a wide array of select meats, including Black Angus beef from Amish farms in southern Pennsylvania and turkey from the certified humane Koch's Turkey Farm. Our produce is sourced locally and regionally, with lettuces from Stevensburg, Virginia and tomatoes from the Eastern Shore. Our main ingredients are complemented with essential finishing touches. All of our dressings and sandwich spreads are made from scratch using premium ingredients. Our team's attention to detail shines through in every component. We offer an infusion of flavors to choose from, and are always up for trying something new. Our culinary focus remains constant, but our ingredients and flavors will continue to evolve.
