W. W. Moore Juvenile Detention Home is a 55-plus-bed facility that houses offenders who are sentenced through the Juvenile and Domestic Court Systems. It serves the cities of Danville and Martinsville and the counties of Pittsylvania and Patrick in Virginia. The center provides home-based services by using mechanical monitoring devices. W. W. Moore Juvenile Detention Home offers several educational programs to children between the ages of 10 and 18 through the Danville Public School System. It provides juvenile supervision and monitoring services. The center also offers alternative detention programs. W. W.
