Charlottesville Catholic School is a nationally recognized school offering classes from prekindergarten through eight. Located in Charlottesville, Va., it is a regional Catholic School under the supervision of the Office of Catholic Schools in the Diocese of Richmond. Its curriculum includes religion, math, language arts, reading, handwriting, English, spelling, social studies, science, foreign language, physical education, music, art and technology. The school organizes golf tournaments and is accredited by the Virginia Private Education Association. Students at Charlottesville Catholic School take both the Terra Nova test and the Assessment of Catholic Religious Education Standardized Test, which is a religious education program assessment tool to provide an overall picture of the religious education effort at a Catholic school. The school also provides lunch service and has a parent-teacher association.
