Bo Rim Sa opened its doors to the Fairfax County community more than 20 years ago, offering traditional Korean Buddhism of the Jogye Order. The resident abbot, Zen Master Kyongam, provides weekly worship services every Sunday from 11:30am - 1:30pm.
The Buddhist temple has strong ties to the Korean communities in Fairfax, Fairfax Station, Annandale and Centerville, but welcomes all who are interested in attending its services. Visitors are welcome daily and should remove their shoes before entering the house of worship.
The temple is located at the intersection of Zion Road and Ox Road, quietly tucked behind a lush thicket of brush and trees and almost hidden from view of the main street and the entryway it shares with its neighbor, the Sovereign Grace Church.
Bo Rim Sa has another temple in Korea and is affiliated with the Washington Campus Daewon Buddhism College in nearby D.C.
