Artist B.J. Anderson's inspirations come from light and color and the way they play on water, making her paintings of New England islands and Old Town Alexandria some of the most popular work shown in her Torpedo Factory first floor gallery. Working out of her Old Town studio since 1980, as well as from her summer studio in New England, she creates not only award winning paintings but also hand-painted etchings, stone lithographs and archival digital images.
Educated with a Fine Arts degree in painting, cum laude, from Michigan State University, B.J. Anderson has traveled and shown extensively; always keeping as her home base the areas that visually inspire her the most.
