Barry Robinson Center, located in Norfolk, Va., is a private, nonprofit facility serving the needs of emotionally and behaviorally disturbed children and adolescents of ages 6 through 18 years. It is a more than 70-bed residential facility, and offers a wide variety of community-based programs, such as residential treatment and therapeutic foster care programs. The center also offers independent living, in-home services and a variety of prevention programs. Barry Robinson Center is approved by the Joint Commission on Accreditation of Healthcare Organizations. It is licensed by the Virginia Department of Mental Health Mental Retardation and Substance Abuse Services, Virginia Department of Education and Virginia Department of Social Services.
