Her business provides tailoring, alterations and repairs in her small South Sheppard Street shop near Carytown. She bought the business from Solomon Zimm, who founded Art Tailors in 1953. A Holocaust survivor, Zimm came to Richmond in 1949 to work as a tailor at Thalhimers. He sold the shop when he decided to retire. Davis moved to Richmond in 1984 and was working for custom shirtmaker Creery Ltd. when she learned that Art Tailors was for sale.
