Alvena McCormick Paintings & Prints
Artist Alvena McCormick has been selling her paintings and prints in the Torpedo Factory Art Center for more than 30 years -- almost as long as the art center has been in Old Town Alexandria. McCormick paints landscapes, particularly ponds and woods. While much of her work is based on local scenes, she sometimes draws inspiration from around the world. The painter also does a lot of commission work. Do you see a painting you like but it's too small for your living room? McCormick will gladly paint another in a larger size.
