A New Beginning is an eight to 12 week residential substance abuse program for adults. It is a rehabilitation program that focuses on self-diagnosis and recovery program management. It consists of individual, group and family counseling. It also offers a relapse prevention track for those who have relapsed after another treatment. Additionally, the program makes referrals to other agencies and organizations. Its services are accessed through an assessment intake at its assessment and referral center. Located in Chantilly, Va., A New Beginning is a part of the Fairfax-Falls Church Community Services Board. Established in 1969, the board offers programs on prevention, intervention, treatment, rehabilitation, residential and other support services.
