History
Located in Dummerston Vermont, the Scott Farm has a recorded history dating to 1791, when George Washington was serving his first term as President. When the Landmark Trust USA, a Vermont non-profit, took over the farm in 1995, many of the buildings had fallen into disrepair and the orchard was growing a single variety of apple, McIntosh, conventionally sprayed and sold on the wholesale market. Since that year, the Farm buildings have been thoughtfully repaired and upgraded so they are beautifully preserved and energy efficient.
