History
Henry and his wife Nuba opened Henry's Sportsman's Inn in approximately 1950 on the old Alburg Poor Farm which they had purchased.. During their tenure a total of 12 cottages were built and the name was changed to Henry's Sportsman's Cottages.. Several lots were sold to individuals and private cottages were built to the south of Henry's. Henry and Nuba sold the property to the Scillions in approximately 1970 and they in turn sold to Gwen Brown in 1983. Two additional cottages were built and one immediately to the south was purchasedin 2009 bringing the total number of cottages today to 15. The cottages underwent major renovations in 1998 along with upgrades to the docking system and rental boat fleet. Gwen and Bob Brown are the current owners of Henry's Sportsman's Cottages Inc.
