In 2002, Timothy Danahy and Howie Faircloth were well known as the beer brewers at The Shed, a popular local brewpub in Stowe. Wanting to start a business of their own, the two turned to distillation. The Organic corn they sourced for their first product, Sunshine Vodka, proved to make a vodka of such quality that they embraced the Organic concept, and spent 3 years in compliance with USDA Organic standards to get the distillery certified.
