History
At the turn of the 20th century, Good Commons was a country store with a booming business selling groceries, household items and light fare to the village. The Brown family took over the store in the 1930s, added an ice cream parlor and sandwich shop, and raised their six children in the home. Purchased by the current owner in 2006, Good Commons is now a 4700 square foot home that has undergone a COMPLETE renovation, combining modern amenities with the country tradition of rest and revitalization that has characterized this house for over 150 years. It is the perfect getaway for city slickers who want to have comfort and elegance within their country retreat while enjoying everything a unique Vermont vacation rental has to offer. We are now a community solar powered facility, including our primary heat!
