The Hubbards' Bald Mountain Farm has been in the family and a part of the Rutland community since the early 1880s! The beautiful landscape is now operated by the 5th and 6th generation of Hubbards - a father and son team, Ted Hubbard Jr. and son Theo Hubbard III. The farm is currently made up of 300 acres with roughly 60 head of cattle, half a dozen hogs, multiple species of birds and rabbits, and a newly found local food market! After a little over 100 years of being a dairy operation, the family had to change with the times and switched over to beef in 2010. Intentions were just a small cow-calf operation with maybe 10-15 brood mothers. Just enough to keep the fields grazed.
