HistoryThe founder of Un-Impoverished, Barbara Brown, was involved with another non profit which provided free clothing to families and individuals from 2014 - 2016, since then that non profit has closed so Ms. Brown decided that the concept worked so well that she should super size the idea and collect and give away everything people would donate in order to free up money for impoverished folks to use on other items for themselves or their families which they may not have had the funds for if they could not get the items free. Un-Impoverished also added another change to the service which is providing case management and support through education and case managers to assist folks in learning to fish instead of providing fish every time they are hungry hopefully taking the needy from impoverished to un-impoverished.
