Utah Symphony & Opera is one of the largest purveyors of classical arts education and outreach in Utah. It produces the art forms of opera and symphony and performs several concerts. The company administers the Intership Program for students in the areas of costume and set design, stage management, performance and arts administration. Utah Symphony & Opera serves more than 450,000 citizens in Utah, Idaho, Wyoming, Montana and Nevada. Its education outreach programs serve over 160,000 students in kindergarten through grade 12 annually. The company works with a team of nearly 85 musicians.
