TransWest Credit Union has been making loans since 1935. Originally the credit union for Utah employees of The Union Pacific Railroad, we now serve employees of Kennecott Copper Corporation and U.S. Magnesium, as well as all residents of Salt Lake County. TransWest Credit Union is a not-for-profit organization. All credit union earnings after allocations to required reserves are returned to the membership in the form of lower loan and credit card interest rates, higher dividends on savings accounts and certificates of deposit, and lower fees on products and services.
