History
The museum opened on July 24, 1930, as Utah's first state park. Initially, it was operated by the Daughters of Utah Pioneers. When the Utah Division of Parks and Recreation was established, it became an official state park.

Territorial Statehouse State Park is a museum and historic site interpreting the area of Utah's territorial capitol. The museum features artifacts from approximately 1851-1896. On the grounds, there is a historic one-room schoolhouse and two cabins original to Fillmore.
