Mary Elaine Shapiro
Mary Shapiro, M.D., is a board-certified pediatrician. She received her bachelor’s degree in molecular cell biology from the University of California, Berkeley in 1993, and obtained her medical degree at the University of Maryland School of Medicine in 1998. Shapiro completed her residency in 2001 at Pitt County Memorial Hospital in North Carolina. Shapiro worked with Kaiser Permanente in both the pediatrics and autism spectrum disorder clinics from 2001 to 2006, and she is a member of the American Academy of Pediatrics. Her professional interests include sports medicine, infant development, nutrition, and newborn care. In her free time, Shapiro can be found hiking, biking, traveling, and spending time with her husband and sons. Shapiro speaks Spanish, and is currently welcoming new patients. She accepts most insurance plans.
