History
Utah Children's Theatre (501c3) was founded in 1985, with a mission to create an environment for families to bring young people to experience and engage in live theatre. Every year a portion of our plays are original works written specifically for our audiences. Mainstage: Performances usually by adults, but age appropriate depending on the story. Youthstage: Performances by actors ages 9 - 19. Drama Classes: Instruction in acting, voice and other tecniques for ages 4 -19. Fieldtrips: Weekday performances booked by school groups. In June of 2011, the historic Avalon movie theatre was purchased and an extensive remodeling project commenced with an opening of April 2012.
