With more than 100 performances a year, thousands have enjoyed the Ellen Eccles Theatre, originally built in 1923. From touring Broadway shows to local productions, there is something for everyone at the Ellen Eccles Theatre, with performances throughout the year. The theatre is owned by the city of Logan and managed by CacheARTS, a local nonprofit and arts agency for Cache Valley. Built in 1923, the Capitol Theatre eventually became a movie theater, and fell into disrepair. Faced with possible demolition, a group of local arts advocates formed the Capitol Arts Alliance, which oversaw the restoration and reopening of the theatre, now known as the Ellen Eccles Theatre. Now, the theatre serves again as the heart of the arts in Cache Valley.
