Honey Grove is a small North Central Texas town (population: 1,903 as of 2007),containing a total land area of approximately 1,972.8 acres (7.984 km2), and located roughly 16 miles (26 km) east of Bonham, 39 miles (63 km) north of Greenville, 42 miles (68 km) east of Sherman, and 90 miles (140 km) northeast of the Central Business District of Dallas.
