Operational since 1979, the Waco Center for Youth is a part of the Texas Department of State Health Services. The Waco Center for Youth is a psychiatric residential treatment facility that serves children between the ages of 13 and 17 with emotional difficulties and behavioral problems. The center is accredited by The Joint Commission. It offers individual, group and family therapies, as well as coordination and case management services. The center also provides assistance with aftercare planning. In addition, it offers psychology, habilitation, nursing, chaplain and rights protection services. The center provides opportunities to participate in a variety of programs, activities, and learning experiences. The Waco Center for Youth is located in Waco, Texas.
