Founded in 1934, the Visiting Nurse Association of Texas offers various services, such as hospice, maternal and long-term care services. It also provides rehabilitation, Alzheimer s care, and elder and home health care services. Its home health care services include physical, occupational, and speech therapies and home health aides. The association offers services 24 hours, seven days a week. Its long-term care service is an alternative to institutional care for persons with chronic illnesses and disabilities. Its elder care volunteers provide transportation for shopping, home safety awareness and companionship.
