The University of North Texas is one of the largest, student-centered, public, research education institutions in Texas. The university offers more than 90 bachelor's, over 100 master's and nearly 45 doctoral degree programs. It operates approximately 10 colleges and schools, including School of Merchandising and Hospitality Management, College of Public Affairs and Community Service and Toulouse School of Graduate Studies. The University of North Texas serves more than 36,000 students. It offers classes in philosophy, math and history. The university supports more than 400 registered student organizations, such as sample, forensic science and speech clubs. It maintains a library that offers a range of educational resources and materials. The college provides opportunities for students to participate in a range of sports activities, such as hockey, tennis, lacrosse, soccer and bowling.
