Troy Elementary is an educational institution that was established in 1879 as King's Branch Free School. It enrolls students in grades two through five. Troy Elementary provides a range of academic and extracurricular programs, as well as imparts instruction in physical education, music, math and language arts. It maintains a resource room, library, behavior management classroom and math laboratory. The school has a student council, as well as participates in special education and gifted and talented programs. Additionally, it organizes various athletic activities to keep students fit and provides a variety of lunch options. Troy Elementary is a part of the Troy Independent School District, which governs elementary, middle and high schools.
