History
As a SLP, I have worked with children of all ages & backgrounds on developing their communication, cognitive, feeding, and/or swallowing skills. My areas of speciality include: feeding & swallowing, early speech & language development, & social communication/pragmatics. I have worked in inpatient acute care & rehabilitation hospital settings; outpatient therapy & specialty clinics; pre-K, elementary, middle, & high schools; in the home; and in private practices. In all settings I seek to provide individualized care for my clients. I use meaningful, motivating activities & evidence-based practice to support development and change. I am mindful of each child's unique learning style, strengths & weaknesses, as well as his/her personal goals. I believe family/caregiver education & training are critical to a child's success. Therefore, I work closely with families, teachers, & other care providers to ensure that, together we are helping each child learn & grow to his/her fullest potential.
