North Texas Equestrian Center (NTEC) is located forty minutes from downtown Dallas nestled in 50 acres along the shores of beautiful Lake Lavon in north eastern Collin County. Established in 1985, NTEC provides full service boarding from a resident staff for up to 100 horses. Customized training is available for both the horse and rider in the dressage and show jumping disciplines from the beginner level through grand prix. In addition, owner and head trainer Kai Handt is the region's leading importer of German warmbloods and specializes in personally selecting European bred horses suited to the needs of the rider. Whatever your equestrian interests are, you will feel at home at NTEC. We have riders who want a challenging training environment and have achieved success while competing at the regional and national levels. Riders who want to enjoy their horse in a less competitive atmosphere will feel comfortable as well as they take advantage of the winding trails, open space, and other amenities that the facility has to offer. We would encourage you to spend some time exploring our web site. You will be impressed by the quality of our on-staff trainers, our facilities, our programs, and especially our accomplishments in the competitive arena (please see the AWARDS section of the web site.) We would also encourage you to come and visit our center. We would be pleased to give you a tour. Click the CONTACT US box in the upper right portion of this page for contact information and a map to NTEC.
