A very beautiful and historic capitol! Free to get in and explore this capitol and grounds. A ton of sculptures explain Texas history, good and bad, the way it should be.

PROS: this is one of the most historic and currently used government buildings in all of Texas. Gift shop, corridors, lookout, artwork, and House of Representatives rooms were all a delight....

One of the most painless and interesting visits to a historical site. No fees, just history. My favorite part was seeing the rotunda and all the governor portraits (a surprising amount were women).
