Established in 1999, Texas A&M University - Central Texas serves more than 2,000 students and provides online, night and weekend classes. Formerly known as Tarleton State University - Central Texas, it offers bachelor's and master's degree courses in the fields of business administration, education, school psychology, finance, computer science, sociology, accounting, marketing and economics. The university maintains a library that houses a variety of educational books and resources. Texas A&M University - Central Texas also has a computer laboratory and operates human resources and student affairs departments. The university provides scholarships and organizes volleyball, football and basketball tournaments. It offers membership opportunities in various organizations, such as the Business Professionals of America and Delta Mu Delta.
