History
Station has deep roots in the Houston improv community over the last decade. Rogue Improv was founded in January 2010 as an independent improv conservatory comprised of the former members of Massive Improv including Amy Birkhead, Antoine Culbreath, and Lisa Friedrich. Director Shyla Ray has performed and taught improv since 2009, touring and performing at festivals nationally, and has taught comedy in Houston since 2011; in addition to teaching with Station she's also a lecturer in the Rice University theater department.
Specialties
Station theater is bringing Houston's first conservatory and performance space dedicated to longform improv and comedy. Five levels of improv comedy classes as well as various workshops from its faculty and outside sourcing. Station creates a home for experiencing great comedy, whether a spectator or student.
