St. George the Great Martyr Orthodox Church is a diverse parish of the Orthodox Church in America, located in Pharr, TX. Established in 1979 as a mission, it is the only Orthodox parish in the entire Rio Grande Valley, welcoming Orthodox Christians of all backgrounds, including converts and cradle Orthodox from various ethnicities.
The parish offers services mostly in English, with prayers also said in Spanish, Greek, Arabic, Romanian, Slavonic, and other languages spoken by its members. Led by Fr. Silviu Bunta and Fr. Kyril Riggs, the church provides a vibrant community for worship, fellowship, and spiritual growth.
