History
SNAP started in 1993 as part of the Fund for Animals organization. It became a separate entity in 1994. SNAP was granted 501(c)(3) nonprofit status by the IRS in June of 1999. SNAP also has a stationary clinic in Houston and stationary and mobile clinics in San Antonio, TX. Our donors and supporters have enabled SNAP to spay/neuter approximately 665,933 animals since the organization was founded in 1993.
Specialties
SNAP is a publicly supported animal welfare organization with a mission to prevent the suffering and death of companion animals and to enrich the human-animal bond by providing excellent, accessible and affordable spay/neuter and veterinary care. We provide spay/neuter surgery for dogs and cats and wellness services such as vaccinations, heartworm testing/preventative, flea & tick preventative, microchipping, and more. These services are offered at affordable prices at our stationary clinic located at 913 Shaw Ave., Pasadena, TX. Visit us at snapus.org for more information about our programs. We DO NOT treat ill or wounded animals. Please contact a full-service veterinary clinic if your animal is sick or injured.
