Founded in 1987, Smithson Valley Middle School serves students in grades six through eight and is located in Spring Branch, Texas. Its academic curriculum includes various subjects, such as mathematics, arts, history, Spanish, science, family and consumer sciences, technology applications and reading. The school provides various extracurricular programs, including a student council, choir, the National Junior Honor Society, band, theater and dance. It also offers a variety of athletic activities, such as volleyball, basketball, track and field, football and golf. Smithson Valley Middle School is a part of the Comal Independent School District, which enrolls more than 14,000 students in elementary, middle and high schools.
