History
Texas based, SETEX Construction Corp. began in 1990 when Mr. Jim Shell, Mr. Jay Jeffries, and Mr. Johnny Landry began their journey into the general contracting world. In 1995, Jim continued SETEX's growth as a sole proprietor. SETEX would take on various challenges over the next few years, which included two devastating storms, Hurricane Rita and Hurricane Ike. The hurricanes created an opportunity to repair and rebuild Southeast Texas. SETEX was awarded one of the largest hurricane recovery contracts in the area, Dr Martin Luther King Jr. High, worth over 5 million dollars. In 2009, SETEX was awarded the 23.5 million dollar renovation to Lamar University's football stadium that would be completed in 2010, which also marked SETEX's 20th year of existence. In August of 2014, SETEX continued its growth and success with Jim Shell, Nathan Rivers, and Bruce Reyes, carrying on the tradition of excellence, integrity, and customer service of SETEX Construction Corp.
