History
We owned an empty lot next door to ours so I decided to put it to good use. I designed, built, and decorated this cabin myself and you can see it is heavily influenced by the elegant simplicity of the Thai Lanna style. Everything was completed and we first started accepting guests in January 2017, not knowing at all what to expect. We were happily surprised to become very busy. Eight months later Hurrican Harvey hit, but the guesthouse was not damaged. Only the fences, gardens and Thai entrance needed to be reconstructed. I may be the builder, but my (originally Thai) husband is the people person. Together we make a great team to make your stay comfortable, fun, and even a little luxurious.
Specialties
This Thai-inspired, private cabin is 1.4 miles (use our bikes!) from the Rockport beach and the town center, making this a lovely place for couples, families, and business travelers. Guests say this is a gem, with comfortable accommodations and abundance of amenities. The property is nestled between a mix of homes and trailers, but a high fence and gate provides you with your own unique hideaway.
